Nestled on the picturesque Kowie River in the heart of Port Alfred, The Chef Pantry brings a vibrant Mediterranean culinary experience to life. Our restaurant is the passion project of our esteemed chef, whose culinary journey began at a young age and has been marked by remarkable achievements. At the age of 23, our chef earned his place in the Junior Culinary Team SA and showcased his skills on the global stage at the 2012 Culinary Olympics in Germany. His excellence continued as he competed with the Senior team, winning a bronze medal and first place in Kitchen Hygiene at the Dubai World Hospitality Tour in 2013. We are dedicated to supporting local businesses, sourcing the freshest ingredients from local fishermen and farmers to bring you the finest Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Our restaurant not only serves delicious food and breath-taking views,  but also celebrates local talent! We proudly exhibit artwork from local artists that customers can purchase to take a piece of the Kowie River’s natural beauty home with them. For families, we have created a fun and safe environment with a dedicated play area for children.
